Landscapes

Painting is often for Errbet, the desire to bring with him a place, but not only as we take a photo. He feels the pressing need to make the feelings he experienced discovering this place part of his painting. For Errbet is first of all a contemplative. He can stay in front of a landscape, a monument, a picture, for a long time... Painting is somehow being part of the subject.

Reporting  a landscape, the picture of a monument in the painting, is putting a little of himself every time.

He works on the whole subject, but also sometimes (too much ?) on details. Instinctively, he paints colours a little brighter, because he  believes that this is what our eyes do naturally.

For him, this is what helps making the difference between a photo and a figurative painting.
