Errbet, what a complicated spelling for a name !

A foreign origin?

 

No, the reality is much simpler.

 

When the time for the first exhibition occurred, this unknown artist did not want to let know his artistic activities. The fear of being judged? The fear of a coming out? The fear of mixing his occupations as a shy painter with his every day life? In fact, all of these made him hide behind the pseudonym of "Errbet" in the same way that many years ago, a famous comics creator chose the name Hergé.
